Developing Partnerships... Launching Dreams
United Paradyne Corporation (UPC) signed a 15-year partnership agreement with NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) on Jan. 14, 2013 for the use of the Hypergolic Maintenance Facility (HMF). UPC, a privately held small business, specializes in propellant services, providing various operations and engineering support related to hypergolic and cryogenic fuels. UPC is using the HMF to provide offline processing support services for the storage, delivery, handling and maintenance of hypergolic and green propellant commodities and satellite fueling operations. The company is also refurbishing, manufacturing and assembling test ground support equipment. This is the second time that UPC has made a home at KSC, having been a propellant subcontractor here from 1998 to 2008. UPC president and CEO Joseph Hasay noted that his team is “very pleased and excited about the opportunity to once again bring our operational and technical services to KSC, our nation’s premier launch facility.”
