With an ever-expanding base of diversified commercial/Governmental activities taking advantage of the offerings at KSC, the potential for adding new facilities is also expanding, and 8,000 acres of the 140,000 acre site has been identified as available for future development. Potential projects include capabilities that are complimentary to the existing aerospace activity, as well as those that support emerging markets such as clean energy, environmental research and space tourism.
