Five Modes of Transportation

Kennedy Space Center has five modes of access available – space, air, rail, sea, and road – making it the world’s only quinti-modal transportation hub, with a central location on the Atlantic seaboard in the middle of major transportation corridors.

Partners have the option of transporting hardware and supplies to on-center facilities via a waterway through Port Canaveral, by rail line connected to state and national railway systems, by roads closely linked to major highway systems or by air transport directly to KSC’s Shuttle Landing Facility or two nearby runways.
